Our parent concern, Marine Training Academy in Mumbai, an ISO 9002 compliant concern has been in the business of training marine personnel in various mandatory courses since 1993 in line with the IMO and STCW' 95 regulations under approval by the Directorate General of Shipping, Govt. of India. We have trained over 60000 personnel so far and maintain a detailed Databank of our trainees from who we get regular job requests. We have a setup of seven well equipped classrooms at our Mumbai premises with all the equipment and library facilities, all the requisite teaching aids like Overhead projectors, transparencies, demonstration equipment and 40 training videos from Videotel, London as per the latest regulations and an ambience conducive to effective learning.

We have opened a branch of our Academy at Daman, near Vapi and 150 km from Mumbai where we have been conducting the Pre-Sea Training for Ratings, Deck and Engine (G.P.) since September 2002. The details of this course have been included in the accompanying brochure.
Being in this field since 1993, we are well reputed and respected in the shipping circles and have good contacts, cordial relationships and rapport with the various government and private authorities concerned with this business, which greatly assists in expediting matters relating to this field.
TNSS has a tie up with "MARINE TRAINING ACADEMY" (MTA), Mumbai, which is a Quality Training Centre since the last 11 years and approved by The Directorate General of Shipping, Govt. of India. The Academy has in place a Quality Management System and possesses "ISO 9002" Certification issued by Det Norske Veritas. The Academy provides training to Seamen and Officers in various disciplines and as per the guidelines required by the IMO and STCW'95 such as:

1. Personal Survival Techniques (P.S.T.) - 3 DAYS.
2. Personal Safety and Social Responsibilities (P.S.S.R.) - 3 DAYS.
3. Elementary First-Aid (E.F.A.) - 2 DAYS.
4. Fire Prevention and Fire Fighting (F.P.F.F.) - 3 DAYS.
5. Medical First Aid (M.F.A.) - 4 DAYS.
6. Oil Tanker Familiarisation Course (O.T.F.C.) - 5 DAYS.
7. Chemical Tanker Familiarisation Course (C.T.F.C.) - 5 DAYS.
8. Ship Master's Medicare Course - 10 DAYS.
9. Refresher & Updating training for Basic STCW courses- 1 DAY.
10. Pre Sea Training for Ratings (G.P.): AT DAMAN - 16 WEEKS.

All the above courses include approved and recommended videocassettes. Lunch and tea are provided. Accommodation can be arranged on request at reasonable rates for outstation candidates.
