QUALITY
POLICY:
MTA strictly follows the IMO, DGS Guidelines and Model Courses in
training seafarers. In order to achieve the above requirements, MTA has established and implemented a Quality System, complying
with the International Standards (ISO 9001:2000). The Academy has been
awarded ISO 9001:2000 Management System Certification by Det Norske
Veritas (DNV) (Certificate No. 00251-2003-AQ-BOM-RvA)
Quality is defined as 'The totality of features and
characteristics of a product or service that has an ability to
satisfy the users needs.' At MTA the positive attitude and
commitment of all the staff members engaged in the training
activities determine the end result. MTA has an ultimate training
objective of total satisfaction of the trainees. MTA has a
reputation and position as one of the leading vocational training
establishments in the maritime industry. As a policy, MTA imparts
vocational training to marine personnel, which adheres to the
guidelines by the Directorate General of the Shipping, Government
of India and also meets the IMO requirements matching
National/International standards.
MTA is committed to imparting this training in a consistent manner
aiming at the satisfaction of the trainees and meeting their needs
since its inception in 1993.
QUALITY OBJECTIVES:
The main objective of MTA is to impart quality training to
seafarers and to enhance the knowledge and skill of the trainees
by:

Imparting of vocational courses
approved by the Directorate General of shipping, Government of
India meeting STCW 95 requirements.

consistent manner.

course curricula.

MANAGEMENT'S COMMITMENT TO QUALITY:
The ultimate responsibility for implementing the above policies
for achieving the stated objectives rest with the Principal. All
members of the training staff share the responsibility to maintain
a high standard. Active participation of all staff and team effort
helps in a continuous process of quality improvement at all
operational points in the Academy.
